We’re delighted to announce that KeyLines 4.0 is now available to all customers. The highlight is our new combos functionality, to eliminate chart clutter and help you navigate your biggest and most complex networks.
Combos are visual groupings of nodes, which can be styled, opened, closed, nested and moved around. It’s an intuitive new way to explore networks, without data overload.
There are several new demos to showcase the new feature, and how it can transform your KeyLines applications.
There’s more… KeyLines 3.6, 3.7 and 3.8
Last week, we announced our new release strategy for KeyLines – bringing you more functionality, sooner. Since September, we’ve been steadily incorporating new features into KeyLines, including:
- Integration with the VueJS framework (learn more)

- Some handy new time bar and chart.zoom options
- Add labels and glyphs to the ends of links
- Animate your links with ‘pings’ to make them stand out
- Several new and updated demos, to showcase new and improved features
- Updated support for React 16
- Sequential layout – designed to display tiered datasets that have a clear sequence of distinct levels

- Better demo styling for our database integrations
Deprecations and breaking changes
We’ve made it easier for you to find key information for each release by creating new sections on the ‘Downloads’ page: Breaking Changes and Deprecations.
We try to keep both to a minimum, but sometimes they’re necessary. Remember to take a look before upgrading to the latest version. For more about this, or anything else in this blog post, check out the Release Notes.
